The teams unwind in Akulivik before tomorrow’s continuation

The mushers are currently taking a rest before they hit the rugged territory located between Akulivik and Salluit. Staying in town also allowed them to restock their food supply, which they will need for the next few of days, buying the goods at the local co-op store. This evening the mushers attended community feast organized by the local Northern Village of Akulivik.

They are expected to reach the finish line on Sunday April 3rd if all goes well and the weather conditions permit them to travel across the rigorous land.

The race will resume tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM.
