Kangirsuk weather has cleared up and the mushers are off to their second last stop
________________________
The teams begin the trail at eight in the morning under clear blue skies with a temperature of -30 degrees Celsius. To make up for lost time it is decided that they would double their distance today and they Ivakkak about 50 miles to their stopover point at Ammaluttuq between Kangirsuk and Quartaq. Thursday will be their last day and racers’ times are getting tight!
Charlie Watt Jr. arrived first today and the overall difference of time between he and Junior May is only 4 minutes. Willie Kullulaaq will have to catch up at least two hours to Taamusie S. if he wants third place, and he might be able to do it if he really wants to! Bobby has fallen close to 1 hour behind Willie now, for some reason he has lost his initial stronger position of fourth.
The Ivakkakers take from nearly 7 hours to almost 13 hours to make it to Ammaluttuq. Here are today’s results in the order of their positions:
Junior May 6h53 27h48
Charlie Watt Jr 6h46 27h52
Taamusie Sivuaraapik8h05 31h50
Willie Kullulaaq 7h54 33h58
Bobby Novalinga 8h47 34h54
Charlie Inukpuk 9h43 38h31

Good luck!
